Mr P will start to wonder......

Last night her returned from playing squash to find me with my feet in a bowl of water...
his first comment was

"whats wrong?"

where upon I said

"nothing ... I am soaking my feet... pampering them!"

I massaged and trimmed and pampered away while watching a chick flick! lol
this morning I have dropped Daniel at pre-school and come back in the house to wash my hair so that I can go and get a new hair do!
however I noticed a face mask sat on the shelf in the bathroom that I have never gotten around to doing so I am now sat typing while I can feel my face hardening under the white chocolate mask...
whats the bet that there's a knock at the door?
would you answer the door in a face mask?
if the postman comes I will answer it and I will die laughing! lol
so will he probably...
mind you the milkman caught me saying goodbye to Mr P at the door this morning in my dressing gown... note to self if this kinda thing is going to become a regular occurrence buy a nicer dressing gown! ;D

5 minutes to go and I can wash this off.... yay!

oh no.... I have an itch and I think I am going to sneeze! oh oh oh... its okay its passed... my face would really have cracked up if that has happened!

I think with all this pampering Mr P will start to think I have a new man in my life!

I am hoping to have my hair cut short like Juliette Binoche in Chocolat... love that film!

My hair is long, brown and has a natural wavy curl it has been unloved and ignored for probably a year... I don't have a hairdresser anymore... I use to always have my hair cut by the same person back in my pre-25's... you know the kind of hairdresser you dream of knowing, one that seems to just get what your hair does... how it will take to a style... I haven't been able to find one of those in a very long while... mind you I can't say that I have been actively searching...

I may even paint my toenails... lol if I can find any nail varnish in my 12 year old's bedroom... I don't own any myself! lol

Oh dear... I really have let myself slip haven't I ....

well times up off to wash off this face mask....
no - one came to the door so I made it!

Alex

OMG I can totally relate to this post. Up until a week ago, I hadn't had my haircut for precisley a year since moving away. Last week I had it chopped off (similar to you JB pic but my hair is crazy curly so the overall effect is a little shorter) then today I have had some colour put in it and I feel all fresh and zingy! Must be the summer weather. Enjoy your pampering!

I love that film Alex :)I was thinking about getting my hair cut to shoulder length, at the min it is touching my bum nearly, and it is getting on my nerves, only thing is, I'm afraid to get my hair cut incase I dont like it, then it will take years to grow back! :) xxx

I know exactly what you mean! I just found a new hairdresser who did exactly what I wanted. Her idea of subtle highlights actually matched mine! Love that movie and loved her hair in it.

I never pamper myself. I never even got the hang of make-up so i have to rely on my own natural beauty. It's just lucky that my very dear friend is a hairdresser as i just plonk myself in the chair every six weeks and she does her thing.

Hello Alex! Thanks for coming and visiting me again. I know it is daft isn't it, how we decorate in our favourite colours just when we are about to leave! Whenever I have had a face pack on (long time ago now!) I always , always start laughing and ruin it all! I think it is lovely to pamper yourself, as sometimes when life gets a bit difficult or filled with worries, etc., we can tend to let ourselves go ( you should have seen how much I did after my diagnosis, and various other pressing worries...I would never, never never opened the door to anyone in my pyjamas or without at least some eye-liner on, or my hair nice!) SO every now and then it does the soul good for a dollop of pampering. I am all for it! We sometimes underestimate how important it is to take care of ourselves too! I can never find a good hairdresser, and sometimes leave it a bit too long before searching one out! But, if your hair is looking good, it is such a tonic. Nowadays, I would go to the door with a face mask on, and make the postman howl! Have a lovely newly pampered weekend Alex! Suzie xxx

I can really relate to your post. Infact I've actually joined weight watchers this week and attended a body combat class to improve the way I look. Also purchased some lovely red nail polish, so I can paint my toe nails, something I never do. I hope your hair turns out lovely. Also, I don't know if you've checked out my blog today, but you have won my domestic goddess giveaway, congrats. Can you let me have your address. Have a great weekend. xxx Pixie xxx

Good reviews from the other bloggers about the movie Chocolat, so I must add it to my movies that I have to watch list!
Talking about pampering myself... its something that I don`t do that much.
Sometimes is either to expensive or I`m too tired or busy at the end of the day!

Very funny post! Just found your blog. I've had long hair most of my life and had it all cut off a year ago. Everyone says it suits me and I look years younger - but when I look in the mirror I don't recognise myself. When I see my reflection I think "Why am I wearing my Mum's face?" Maybe I'll try a face mask. SueXXX

Well that reminds me I am in need of a little trim, I have been doing it myself, the pony tail method, and turns out not half bad :0) Saves me a fortune too ;0) Thanks for your lovely comments, I am sure the lovely seller would do a commissioned one like the one I bought, it really is very pretty, and at £7.00 I thought a reasonable price too. Now then not sure if i should mention the S word ;0) But have been thinking, how about I get together a little swap package for you, a couple of treats and one or two handmade pretties, I am really struggling with the tilda theme, like a little summer swap.

Lots of love

Hi Alex
What a fab post - so funny!
I put my hand up and confess I am just like you in the pampering department - I never do nail varnish and the biggest treat my nails get is a regular clipping! ha! But I do use lots of hand cream!
I go to the hairdresser every 6 weeks and she is a genius and knows exactly how to deal with thick curly wavy hair - maybe you should head over to my little town for a session!!
Like you I love the look of Juliet B in Chocolat - in fact Juliet B is one of my most fav actresses.
Can't wait to hear how you get on with the new hair do and whether you go for the nail varnish too....
Oh yes, the greenhouse comment over at mine - I don't have a real permanent greenhouse, as the garden isn't big enough, but I have three of those mini plastic covered ones and they are fab. In fact, better than a permanent one, as I take them apart and put them away in the winter time!
Have a fabby rest of the week,
Denise x
