I am so lucky to have a wonderful man in my life, who works hard to support his family and allows me to be a stay at home mum, he may not give me flowers and sweep me off my feet with romantic gestures but he is my soul mate and is always there for me should I need him...
I am so lucky to have 2 wonderful children, yes at times they drive me mental and make me wonder if being a parent was one of my best decisions but they make me laugh and make me proud they sometimes make me want to cry too but everything needs balance...
I am so lucky to live in Somerset, sometimes I covet the wide rolling cragginess of the dales... the peacefulness of the Scottish lochs and many other places I notice you wonderful people live... but at the end of the day I live in a beautiful place that I do not notice as much as I should... I live within 45 minutes of the sea and I must make more of an effort to stop... look... listen and breath!
I have to stop looking at all the things that are not how I want them to be and realise and enjoy the things that are just so perfect or at least pleasing to me...
ooh now that's just spooky... as I wrote those words the sun came out for the first time this morning... its been raining hard on and off since yesterday afternoon and now the sun has warmed my back and sent shivers down my spine... I think the mist is clearing in my head and I can see the pathway through the trees again... its funny how you get a little disorientated every now and again
I am so lucky to have so many wonderful friends and I thank you all so much for being there for me and helping me through... your kind words are such heartwarming gifts that lift my soul and heart back up into the sunlight...
thank you dear friends...

What a beautiful post Alex! Yes, we all have so much to be thankful for, and we all do become a little disorientated now and then and lose sight of the path in the fog now and then, but as long as we remember all those wise and soulful words that you just said, we always brush ourselves down and get back on track with a smile on our faces! I am glad your fog has lifted a bit, and the sunshine has literally come out and shone onto you! You have warmed my heart! Suzie xxx
Oooh and I am pleased to have you as my blog friend Alex! xxx
Sometimes we just need that break in the clouds so that we can see and feel the sun on our faces to help that smile break through.
((((Alex))))
Such a life you lead! Your babies are super precious. And the place you live is breathtaking. Envious here!!! jan
So very true, it can be so hard to see what wonders we all have, thank you for the reminder I shall carry those thoughts with me. I'm glad the sun came out and I hope it continues to shine down on you and yours. Hugs Debs xx
