May Day

It's the first of May and spring has arrived

I love the colours of spring, and all the growth and fresh shoots make you feel hopeful for the coming season...

Pot Marjoram, Golden Marjoram and Basil by the back door

Fennel... waiting for me to choose a spot for it to grow.... I love the way it wafts around... I did notice last year that the flowers attracted wasps... so I won't plant it too close to the house

Peppermint and Pineapple mint...

Celery Leaf.... use it like parsley but it has a celery flavour...

I hope to grow and use properly a lot more herbs this year... I need to get tall containers so that the dog doesn't keep watering them for me... lol

May Day blessings to you all
and have a fabulous bank holiday weekend

take care
Alex

May Day Blessings Alex. xxx
I am hoping to become more wise with herbs this year, and to put them to their many good uses.

Beautiful herbs!! I can almost smell the peppermint!!

I'd be more than happy to do a wristlet for your daughter...just convo me at etsy (www.threadsofgray.etsy.com) with what size she needs and your zip code so I can figure out shipping!

It's when you post pics of your green things growing that it highlights the distance (in miles) between us. My plants are only just realising that it just might be safe for them to admit that spring has arrived. :)

You inspired me. I planted some parsley, basil, and spring onions today.

Lovely herbs! I love sage because the purple flowers always look great but marjoram has such nice leaves and fennel leaves are gorgeous.

By the way you have an award on my blog :)
