A place to call my own......

Mr P has absolutly stunned me, he came back from walking the dog yesterday to anounce that the house was not big enough for me to do everything in (PTA, Art, Sewing, glass painting, etc etc)
I wondered to myself
"Oh dear, where is this going!"
I am seriously in the dog house now!

With me looking glum he suddenly announced

"you need a studio!"
Do you want to rent one or build a cabin in the garden?

After picking myself up off the floor and dusting myself off
I agreed that a studio would be a fantastic idea.

If I could find something to rent locally I could go there while Daniel is at playgroup, but the easiness of having something at home would be good!

But would it be nice to get away from home and go to my studio, would I be less likely to seep arty stuff into the house?

A studio somewhere else would be usable as soon as I have located it,
A log cabin would be a while being built.......

What would you choose?

Better go and try and light the fire, it is quite chilly today!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts

x Alex

Definitely have one at home for those 9:30 pm moments when you think "ooh, I could just...."
I considered renting somewhere, but am so glad I didn't because some evenings when son is in bed are really productive for me!

Personally, I love having my little studio at home. It's so convenient and I don't have any trouble being distracted by the kettle, the tele, the housework etc... Plus it's cheaper than renting somewhere else and I can do what I like to it. As jelly say's it's easier to pick and choose when you work as it's on 'the doorstep' so to speak :)

Hey with a garden like yours I would go for the
home option, you've got a lovely large garden. any time you felt inspired you could mossey on out or if you'd just had enough of Mr p and the little guys LOL.

I would choose the studio at home just for the convenience. Most of my inspiration hits in the wee hours of the night so it would be more convenient for me to run out into the yard in my pyjamas! ;o)

I am so excited for you! Congratulations on your new studio and your loving husband!

oooh .. what a lovely husband you have! Personally, i would plump for the garden shed/log cabin option. I know lots of people who have this and it's great! And less cost in the long run. Keep us posted! It's a great idea! xx
